Little red bump please help!

Today I notice a little red lump on my shafttail finch tail(about where the preening gland is) it's about the size of s pimple! I can't see it that well because I can't hold it, I got the finch from a friend and it's not tamed. Does anyone know what that is? There aren't any bird specialist around only vets for dogs and cats:( please any advice!

Are you sure it's not the preening gland?
A picture might help identify it better
