Won't Open Eyes

Post by Acelin_Wolf » Fri Jun 10, 2016 10:36 pm

Hey, all.

So I have a spice finch that's been battling an unknown illness for a while. Took her to the vet and she got antibiotic injections 2x times. She perked up then and every now and again she gets fluffy, so I give her a little enro (orally). Well tonight, just noticed it, she's been perching with her eyes closed. She won't open them and can't see because I was able to catch her without her seeing my hand coming...

I can't tell if they are crusted shut or not and wasn't sure if it was safe to run water over her face or .... I'm just a little lost right now. Causes? Ways to help?

:/

Update: I went ahead and gave her a tiny bath. She scratched her eyes and managed to get them open, so I'm thinking they were crusted shut? She has occasional issues with vomiting, which is why she was taken to the vet in the first place. >>
