Blue faced parrot finch molting?

My blue faced parrot finch has gotten white streaks around its head. Is this molting taking place?

Are pin feathers popping out? When molting, many birds, especially around the head, will look like little pin cushions.

Mine just went through that..
Love my pets..2 dogs..Maltese and yorkie..2 betafish, 2 fish tanks, and of course my ladygould finch..

They do look like little pin cushions :D
