Female zebra finch leg problem(?)
Hey, i'm Vlad, a new member, for a while now a female zebra finch of mine started to show signs of being sick, she could no longer sit on the edge of her nest couse she would fall, could no longer sit on a perch and so on, she would just sit on the bottom of the cage being fluffed up and all that, as soon as that happened i took her to a avian vet, the guy told me that she's going to be allright and it's just the fact that she's low on vitamin B, gave her vitamins and so on, but since there were no improvements for one week i decided to ask another vet that told be it could be egg binding, i got her a little heat lamp, put a moist cloth in her ''hospital cage'' and also drove from Romania to Hungary to get her a calcium supplement, after one week she started feeling better, she started bullying the other birds as she always does, jumping around, etc, but last night she fell off her nest, now it looks like she can't use her right leg, is this a sign that egg binding got back on her, or is it just a small injury, thanks for the help!

Hi Vlad and welcome to the Forum from Canada.
Sad to hear that your little girl is not doing well.
Had she been egg bound, she would have died fairly quickly without intervention and liquid Calcium. Did she end up managing to lay an egg after all this happened?
Regretably, we are not Veterinarians, and it's almost impossible to tell what could be wrong with your birdie over the internet.
I did however find a link, of something similar happening to someone else's finch.
Maybe it can be helpfull.

Hey, no, she is the only female that never laid an egg ever, mostly all of my females have had some kind of sickness and managed to get it cured, but this one is quite a peculiar one since i never heard of a illness closely related to the one this finchy has :/

Can you send a picture of her leg? Or give a very detailed description of what exactly happened?
Does the bone in the leg appear like it's actually broken?

Ouch! That does not look comfortable at all, poor little girl.
It almost looks like it's dislocated.
You mentioned that you had a Vet around there. Could you possibly take her in, and get the Veterinarian's opinion on this?

Why do the feathers around it look wet? It looks a little swollen to me.
