How long can a finch live without water?

I recently bought a new female zebra finch to make company to my male zebra from where I bought her they were using water dispensers and I give my birds water in bigger dish , is it possible that she is not used to the bigger dish or am i just being too worried for no reason and i just didnt see her drink.
I have her for maybe 2 , 3 weeks now and still didn't notice her drinking .
The funny thing is she saw the male zebra finch bite the dish with water , he does that for some reason also bites the cage , when she saw that he was doing that she started doing the same thing she was too cute >_<

She's drinking, just not when you're looking

Her mate would show her where the water is, if she hadn't figured it out on her own. I wouldn't worry too much.

They can't go very long without water, probably only a day or less, so she must be drinking, just when you don't see her.

Zebras actually can go quite a long time without water as they can extract water from fat, sort of like a camel. However that doesn't mean one should leave them without water. I doubt they could go 2 or 3 weeks between drinks so I'm sure she's drinking when you're not looking.

Oddly enough I was just reading a research paper about this yesterday. It's a survival tactic to handle drought in the Australian desert regions where they originated.

I agree lovezebs, but you want to hear a thing, among canary breeds those are the most expensive ones.

Still i don't like this type of canary, i look at them and i can hear they saying "Please, kill me".

lovezebs Yeah yesterday i thought that I had 2 eggs in the nest today when i checked there were like 4 eggs so yeah xD , also my family bought a weekend house (Not sure the english term for it) it is on a higher altitude and also different atmospheric pressure and temperature , I am afraid to bring my bird there but I still think they would love it xD, although its a real hastle to try and catch them all .
Oh and not to mention all the different birds that I hear , in the morning there would be one type of bird in the evening would be another there are also ravens which are rare from where I come from and their flight is amazing . That's news I guess xD

I wouldn't transfer the birds there though. Sudden changes in temperatures, and altitude, can cause all sorts of problems.

lovezebs Yeah but the air is so much cleaner up there , anyways i will have to start boiling eggs again , should i give her eggs right now while she is still sitting or should I wait for eggs to hatch , or just give her egg shell for calcium ?
I really wasn't ready for this xD

Start with the eggs now.
That way, once the chicks hatch, she'll be used to eating the eggs, and will feed them to the babies.
