Millet feeder warning.

Post by sparrowsong98 » Thu Sep 07, 2017 6:25 pm

Hi.
I got this spray millet holder for my birds. A few days later, my male zeb got his head stuck out one of the large holes and his body inside the feeder. We had to cut him out. If you get this, or have it, put a cover on it BEFORE you give it to your birds! I just made on out of cardboard and it keeps them out fine.

I read the thread where he got stuck. How aweful for the little guy.

I use a clothes pin and hang my millet sprigs from the cage top where the cant get to the clothes pin. They like to hang from the millet like feathered moneys and swing back and forth on it while they forage on the millet. I think it adds a bit more exercise and entertainment for them.

Where did you get the holder? Ive never seen one like that? You have a link you could post?
