Stuck in molt

It could have something to do with lighting. They have Full Spectrum Lighting but like you Babs mine are on the same length of time year round. I have a feeling that's for a contributing factor.
Elana it doesn't get as cold here in BC but I'm sure it gets just as dark just as early as where you are. So if lighting is the problem and feather fast work for you I'm definitely going to give it a try.

Agreed. Breeding season is kicking in again over here, and am already shortening the lighting time on my room by an hour. By December it should mimic the same amount of hours as the sun.

Then when the kids are weaned I'm going to increase the light as the sun would and see if it makes a difference in their molt next spring.

I hope you and I can compare notes in the spring

Debbie's kids all molt on time and she has an outdoor aviary (as most of us know) with all natural seasons, so I am hoping this works.
