wildbird she had poops hanging from vent before, looks like constipations. I gave her some cod liver oil and constipation problem was gone. She now has droppings stick to the butt feather, not the vent. It seems to me she does not have much time left. I don't have access to vent and don't want her to suffer. I feel very helpless.

she is been sick for over two months, sometime I even think it would be better for her if she dies the next day. She is gone would not be the hardest part for me, at least I know she will not be suffering anymore. It is hard to watch her getting weaker and weaker. I want to put her to sleep but really have no courage to do it.

I went to check her 10 minutes ago. She was at the bottom of the cage and was only breath shallow. She just died on my hand two minutes ago. She opened her eyes and looked at me right before she died. I am devastated, but at least she is not suffering anymore.

haroun I fed her hard boiled egg about twice a week, just gave a little bit in the morning, she liked it. I heard eggs are good for them.

I wish I could know what killed her. She has special meaning for me. I suspected it still had something to do with egg laying because she laid one egg about two months ago, since then she wasn't acting like a healthy bird, but there was no egg stucked, just that lump on her right abdomen as shown in the photo above.

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't think there is anything more you could have done. It probably was egg related. Sometimes an egg can go into the wrong oviduct. At least that is what an avian vet told me. A really good avian vet might have been able to save her, but being so tiny, it is doubtful. I recently lost one of my females due to this. We always wish we could do more. You provided what you could for her, and I believe she knew that you tried to help her.

ywqjennifer So sorry for your loss. Even when members have sent the bird's body for a necropsy, the vets haven't always been able to tell conclusively what went wrong. You did all you could do for her.
