The best solution I know of is to clean the cage

I would put newspaper on the bottom of the cage and change it every day. Or twice a day if necessary.

Is she maybe looking for calcium? Or seeds? or?
If you can provide what she is "missing" that might stop it.
I have a few birds that will peck at the poop on the newspaper, but none that spends any amount of time doing it.

I read on some sites that it can be a mineral deficiency.... Maybe you should give him one of these mineral stones that you can get in the pet store, or some supplements?
One of my dogs once developed that habit (after they had been at a kennel for a couple weeks). The vet said they simply do that because it tastes good to them...
I guess it was easier to watch my dog and stop the habit by scolding him and preventing him from eating it, than it is trying to stop a bird from doing that.
