oh ~ yet another poop question

Both my owls are big seed eaters. I am feeding mealies, pellets, dried egg, veggies (every other day). I noticed their poo was very dry and dark. Now I am feeding the veggies every day instead of alternating days between mealies and veggies (romaine, apple, carrot, parsely). I noticed it got a little looser and more like the other finches' droppings. I know most of you do veggies daily, so I am doing this also instead of the every other day schedule. Not offering millet that much.

Based on what they have been eating lately do these look normal to you? I am going to deworm all my birds even though the breeder did it, I will also treat with vitalize (owls only) at the same time I deworm them follow it up with probiotics.

I'm no expert but the first pic looks like it has whole seed in it.
Which would mean something wrong with him.

It looks like some of my birds when they have their "first morning poops"......Are they fluffed and do they appear to feel alright?

When you mush it it is soft. I did read somewhere that when a bird overeats seed they are taking it in such amount that they don't digest it completely so they poop it out. Don't know how true that is. I have 2 pairs both are lively, eating and drinking. One male is a little quieter, calmer than the other bold non stop male.

I called the owner of Red Bird, he was very nice, talked with me for a while and told me to go ahead deworm and treat with Vitalize to hydrate then when done treat with probotics.

Got home a while ago and found that the medications came. I went in to check on the owls. There was another dropping so I mushed inbetween paper towels, there was some tan seed in it. When I talked to Red Bird they told me to try deworming them.

They said to take the water out of the cages tonight and then give them the meds tomorrow first thing. I normally water and feed at night, can I start the first dose tonight or is it best in the morning?

The birds act normal, eating, drinking they appear fine. If they were wormed by the breeder, could one worming not be enough and could it cause seed to be passed?
