Finches and Chemicals

Post by Finchlet » Tue May 08, 2007 8:53 pm

My husband wants to have our carpets cleaned. Does anyone have any experiences with this? I was hoping I could just open all the windows and make sure the air circulates. If I have to I can catch them all and put them in flights in the garage or something, until the carpets are dry. But who knows, maybe whatever they use to clean them won't harm the little guys.

I'd be a bit worried...they do use chemicals...and with the steaming and everything there's a bit of stuff in the air...

...I'd play it safe and move the birds to another room with ventilation until the carpets are dry...and the carpeted rooms well aired-out...
A bird in the hand...requires some serious washing up...

I would ask about pet-safe or low/no odour cleaners, I imagine that's a worry for a lot of their clients.
