So sorry. It's hard to lose one of the little innocent ones, isnt it? ((hugs)) :cry: You certainly tried the best you could to save him. :(

Very sorry for you loss. It is never easy when we love out little birds. The hardest thing is to watch them suffer. That part is over.

So sorry for your loss. :cry: No, it is never an easy thing, I also lost 2 birds in the last month to old age...one was my absolute favorite and gave no signs of leaving us.

I'm so sorry to hear your story. I know how it feels. I lost my little male Goldbreast recently, and it was tough to watch him go downhill so fast. A helpless feeling. :cry:

But it sounds like he had a busy happy life until he took sick. Since you adopted him it could be he was old, and susceptible to infection, so it was just his time. Try not to feel too bad. If he had been let loose as the previous owner wanted to do, it's quite likely he would have been crow bait, or froze to death. So he was lucky to have his time with you.
