She is better, but she still kinda picks at herself a little. I have to confess, I don't de-worm. Is that something I need to do with indoor birds?

I would definitely deworm even indoor birds. Worm eggs come in from anywhere. Food, other pets etc.
Scratching and biting her butt may indicate a worm infestation, but obviously I cannot be certain. I am not a vet. Surely a deworming cannot harm though.
I deworm every 3 months. Both orally. One a powder I mix with their soaked seed, otherwise I use Ivemectin treatment for general parasites too.
You guys in USA usually have more options / products than me, so I am sure you will be able to get something good for Heckle.
Hope your finch in 100% ASAP.

Is Worm Away hard to find? I am going up to Magnolia next week, but could I find it at say, Petsmart?

Tiffany also sells it. We just got a bottle from her last week as a last ditch effort to help our girls with the poopy problems. About three days after initial administration we found a HUGE nasty spaghetti looking poopy in one of the treat dishes. That was two days ago and our one hen's butt already looks better. A dewormer can only help, and after our experience, I'd highly recommend it.
