It's actually the second season they have been in the room with the stove. I won't be takning that chance again. Thanks...Herb

It may have been something else...you can't be sure.Unfortunately finches are susceptible to so many things when in captivity.

Went to the pet store the same night with the kids and bought three beautiful little zebra finches. Not quite my java rice finches though. Still miss them horribly. Thanks everyone..Herb

Could it have been the disinfectant wipes after all? Did you use THEM for the first time??
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

That's a tough one. To loose your pets like that, I feel for you.
Hope you enjoy the happy little zebras and that they help fill your heart again.
