Thank You. attached is a photo of the both of them only a couple hours into living with me. I think I will call them Fillipo and Fay..... My brother encouraged me to name them Pillage and Plunder. Do you all name your birds as well?

And yes I do usually name all of my pairs as well as those that I expect to keep....which has become more that ever expected.

Is the first picture the one thats sleeping a lot she looks a little fluffed to me,they are nice looking societies

Great looking societies. It looks like the one in the first pic just came out of a bath..
And most people on this forum name their birds. It's much easier to call them by name than to say, "the female _____ finch". Plus it's fun to name them.

Its actually the one in the first picture that is the active one. The darker crowned one is the sleeper. He was grooming and shaking when I took that photo and just happened to catch him in that shape.
