Laser printers, are they safe for birds?
Is it safe to have a new laser printer in a bird room? I'm replacing my inkjet printer that I didn't have to worry about. Laser printers use a heat so they likely have teflon.

Personally I would go with an ink-jet printer.
I don't know if it has teflon on the fusing drum but it does have a particular smell. One of which I think is ozone from the charging wire.
However, for about a month I had a gouldian in quarantine in my office, which has a laser printer. The bathrooms were occupied (canary in one and zebras in the other), so the office was the only other place I could put her.
A laser printer uses a LOT of electricity when it prints, as much as a hair dryer. $$$ If you are close to max on the electrical circuit, a laser printer could pop the breaker when it turns on.
