Society with feather loss

My pair of Society's (Fawn Pied Crested hen and Chocolate Pied Cock) hatched and fledged one baby in Nov 2009. I noticed a few weeks ago that he had a patch of feathers missing from his throat area where the skin is orangish colored. I had a juvenile in another nearby cage that had recently died from Air Sac Mites. I treated him with Scat, just in case, and he has never appeared 'sick' in any way. In fact it is very active, eats well, normal stools, flicks it's tail and flies all over the cage. I'm not sure what it may be or how to treat it. I caught him today and looked closely at the bald area and there is still no appearance of feather regrowth yet. Any help or advice would be welcome. He did feather out normally after moulting.

I suppose it's possible. Wanted to take it to the Bird Mart in a few weeks to sell it, but can't take it looking like that. I will just continue to watch it and see if it gets better with time. Thanks!
