Day 2 of Treatment.

The yellow tinge is still prominent, but his poop seems to be getting a little smaller. It's still grainy at times, but I think it's because of the variety of food that they have.

They are now on Lafebers Granules, Higgin's Bird Seed, Spray Millet, GlamGouldian's Finch Mix, the water (tri sulfa/ronex), and boiled egg with medistatin.

Cooper is a bit more energetic than usual. I'm so used to seeing her on her swing and thats it. Now shes pulling at paper towel, eating more millet than before, and playing with Meepin a lot more.

I know this treatment will take time, but there havent been as many "what the heck is that?" moments when looking at their poop.

Now that the water is in a tube, do I still have to change it everyday or can I leave it for a day or two? Does that affect the tri sulfa/ronex medication?

What you are feeding them will not make it gritty, give it time.

How are they loving the new seed... Higgins is good, Terri's mix is wonderful!

Change you water tube daily... since you are medicating, only fill the 7 oz tube up half way so you do not waste medication.... are these the 7 oz tubes

I do believe that if there is meds , vitamins, etc in the water, the water needs to be changed daily (at least that's what I would do)?

cindy They absolutely love it! They seem to be going for it a lot more than the other food.

Alright, I've been changing it daily. :) I have a 14oz tube but I only fill it 1/4 of the way and refill as I see they need it. Its much much cleaner though.

Day 3 of Treatment:

The yellow-tinge is still the same but not as many monster poops.

Cooper doesn't seem to like the seeds as much right now, maybe she's having a mood swing and wants to pig out on millet all day

Cooper's poops are fine for now, it's Meepin that I'm still worried about. Hopefully there will be more of an improvement tomorrow.

Not much of an improvement.. poop is still grainy, urine is still yellow, still a lot of water in some poops. :/ Maybe it hasnt been enough time?

cindy Here are the pictures. Each is named with the name of their rightful owner  These poops are from all day today.

Ignore any seeds that you may see (shells, seeds themselves, etc) since they tend to make a mess when they are eating. :P (will attach more since 5 is max)

typically it takes at least a week to see marked improvement if not comfortable waiting or you feel the bird is not improving then please seek an avian vet's help, with certain illness it may take longer cure and may require additional meds that only a vet can offer.
