Im terribly sorry of your bird passing and of your entire ordeal. I found one of my blue juveniles dead this morning. Nothing alerted me to any type of illness. It doesnt matter if they are 6 days, 6 weeks, 6 months or 6 years it sucks to loose our babies!

So sorry you lost her, Q. You did all you could, but it is never easy to lose one.

Has anyone ever figured out what causes twirling? Is it genetic? If so, why would anyone breed birds if they have this condition or if it runs in the family? [-X
This man needs to be reported or something. It's unethical and it is cruel.

Dear All,
Thank you all for the wonderful support. It seems so hard to take care of little finches. No matter where they came from. One day all healthy and singing - other day just drop dead.
All we can do is try our best. Poor my hubby - he even took some of the babies to work and hand fed them - Cute ... That is really touch.

Enclosed is the photo of the silver and the white - one of each left - They all came from Alex too. We could not save the others. So far they are dong well.

They look beautiful and I don't want to alarm you but they both appear a little fluffed - maybe it's just my computer screen. If they are at all fluffed I would suggest a heatlamp asap and NV Powder in their water. Good luck with them.

Thanks for the information- This was the old photos when they were in the hospital cage about 4 weeks ago- They seem doing well in the flight cage now. But I will keep an eye on them very closely.

It seems like the Goulds just so fragile. Is it really that hard to keep them?
