Ginene so I am still below YOUR limit, even if I exceeded mine! That somehow makes me feel better

Lol!!! I think you're doing just fine

. This is why my hubby insisted I get rid of so many cages. However, I still have a monster double flight (74"Wx22"Dx74"H) for my owl, star, cb & green singer pairs, 1 normal flight (32"Wx22"Dx53"H) for my society & penguin zebra pairs, 1 breeding cage (30"Wx18"Dx18"H) (only breeding 1 pair at a time this time), 1 hospital cage (

) and a travel cage. I think I can do pretty good damage with all of this

Absolutely! haha. I can't wait to see your new additions, when you get them! What type of CBs are you getting?

Originally I was looking for RCCB's, as we had them before and fell completely in love with them. But Sally's friend in Texas has some BCCB males available that we would love to have. I'm just not sure yet if he is willing to sell the males to someone who doesn't have females. I would definitely consider getting a female for breeding down the line...but for now, we want to keep our numbers down. I plan to breed my society pair and my penguin pair. The others will be m/m pairs, except for the green singers.

That's interesting about the fawns and whites - I didn't know that either. However, my one fawn among 6 chocolates obviously didn't read the same manual. He is Boss Bird and no mistake!
Congrats on the new birds. Your white lady is beautiful.

dcompt thank you!
Ginene if by some minor miracle I get over my queasiness about insects and successfully breed my RCCBs, you are welcome to one (or two of the same sex if you want!)

Thank you!!! I tried to breed mine...Blueberry and Bluebell were a definite pair...but unfortunately they never had the time to have a clutch. The worms are yucky...but you get over it pretty quick. Trust me...if I can serve mini mealies anyone can

I'm beginning to think Societies are kinda addictive....in a ooo I don't have that color/pattern sort of way! I'm picking up 2 tomorrow night someone wants to rehome...both male and coming with 2 petco flight cages which I use. Really wasn't going to get more birds right now HA but I couldn't pass up the cages for the price.

Angela&Shalamar that is awesome! Yes, Societies are TOTALLY addicting. Big bundles of personality. What colors are you getting? I can't wait to see your pictures! I forget where in Maryland you are (you may have mentioned it in another thread at some point?), but I went to the Bethesda Petco today and they had Society finches galore! I left at least one fawn there--I didn't look closely at him/her, but he/she might have been a self. Or possibly slightly pied. Definitely a beautiful color. I told the guy in charge of the bird area that I had been to four different Petcos today in search of Societies and everyone else was OUT. He was surprised and said that they ALWAYS had lots of Societies. Just something to keep in mind. I know I will...;) I mean, WAIT--NO MORE FINCHES FOR ME. Maximum capacity EXCEEDED! Argh.
Please update us on your new acquisitions tomorrow! Congrats!

Thanks, one I believe is a fawn and one a chocolate. Will keep your store in mind as I may be looking for another female to go with my males.
