Melanie we aren't paying him anything to compensate for the losses. I've lost one LB hen, 5 potential Eumo chicks and I have a hen that needed up with a broken leg do to fighting when food got low. The foot has died so I'm just waiting and hoping it will fall off without getting infected.

You mentioned you had worm away....also just as a precaution with all new birds I do a round of ronex 12%, especially with ones where their origin is not clear.


Also try a bit of AviVita Gold vitamins, minerals and amino acids (by AviTech) in their soft foods....it is a powder and very easy to mix into a small amount of boiled grated egg or veggies. Mix it in a very tiny amount so they finish that before you give them a larger serving. It contains calcium and D3 as well
