Thanks so much everyone :)

After talking about it last night, we think the gouldian may have injured himself when we were in the aviary with the ladder to install the roosting ledge. He was perfectly fine an hour prior to finding him on the floor of the aviary. I know that birds hide illness really well but injury is certainly a possibility. :(

The hen has 3 eggs in the box. I'm going to see if she lays another one this morning and then I think I'll switch the society and gouldian eggs and let the society foster the gouldians. ?? What do you guys think? Not sure how the gouldian will do as a single mom. Maybe I'll watch for a day to see if the other male steps up and takes over the dad role. That seems unlikely to me.
