If you are not finding mice droppings in the cage or outside the cage on the floor and against the wall, it probably is not a mouse. I personally would not put bait out for a mouse as you just might draw one. Have you checked around the ceiling over the cages to see if there are any spiderwebs? I have had a spider come on a web in front of me during the day and it would scare the feathers off me if I had any !!! Just a thought . As mentioned in the previous post you may never find the cause.

There was no evidence of a mouse this morning. The bait wasn't touched and there are no spiders or webs.
I spread out the wings, and on both birds all the feather loss is from only one wing. Those wings are so tiny without flight feathers, they are really lopsided.
I think you are right, I may never know what caused all of this. But all that matters is that the feathers grow back and they will be able to fly again.
Thank you everyone for all your help!

My first thought is a Mouse or Rodent in the Bird room.

They are doing well. I've added low perches with cover and other things to make their lives at the bottom of the cages more comfortable and interesting. I hope they get their feathers back soon.

Glad to hear that they are doing well, and that there haven't been any other incidents.
