Of course I am, it's a HUGE HINT.
Think of a VERRRRY important male person in human history. Come on, we'll get to see if you were an "A" student in History, or not.

Re: Air sac mites? or scaly face
Now I've learned something new about lovezebs! I've aways assumed you were born in Canada--so I shouldn't make assumptions just because it is where someone lives. lol When did you leave Israel, and is Canada the first place to which you moved? Were you raised in Israel or in Canada? So many questions! I'm always somewhat in awe of people who move halfway around the world to start a new life. One of my friends moved from New Zealand to the U.S. as an adult. She still has family there and goes back to visit, but that is a long way away.

Sally
Hi Sally,
I was born in Israel, but came to Canada 3 days before I turned 10.
I have lived here ever since, which seems like a bezillion years ago.
One day, I'll bore you with the whole long story, lol.

Re: Air sac mites? or scaly face
I am brand new and joined because my white zebra female has the same problem.
She and her gray zebra mate have 2-3 week old babies and I just noticed her face looks dirty just around her beak but it is uniform.
They live outside and get plenty of sun, diet is corn on cob, seed with added hemp seed, chia and bee pollen. They also get fresh diced apple and home grown organic greens (tomato and asparagus leaves and carrot tops).
They don't tend to eat the greens or apple like they used to since the babies. I supplied wet and dry protein egg food for the babies.
(I attached pics of cage and her face)

Re: Air sac mites? or scaly face
Hi.
I would provide them with a good source of calcium during the breeding, for the hens consume a lot to produce the eggshells, and the chicks to grow their bones.
From the picture i can't see anything wrong with her beak, but she may be laking the calcium from the egg laying.
Do they like the egg food?
About the dirty face, i wouldn't worry, (as long as there isn't any other problem, as respiratory difficulty, or lethargy) a bath would solve the case.

Re: Air sac mites? or scaly face
I give them mineral grit (the oyster shell grit).
They exclusively fed the babies the wet egg food and they ate the dry. I don't know if they ate it for themselves or for later feedings.
Both surviving babies (out of 5) are black and look like the daddy. They are both very active and seem healthy. They are flying pretty good and go all over the cage. It's 6' x 3', my husband built it, he's a carpenter.[album][album][/album][/album]

Re: Air sac mites? or scaly face
PS: it's like a ring all the way around her beak and the male was trying to clean it for her earlier. It's seems too uniform for just being dirty. She seems fine otherwise but was sort of "stretching" her mouth earlier today.
If it were mites what would you do? I have one of those bird protector discs hanging in the age but being outside it's probably not all that effective, if at all.
Thank you so very much for answering so quickly!
