Elena

They are so adorable! Sorry for your lost..
I will try not blame myself much thanks again. So sorry hear that your furries attached by the cat. :(but glad other one survived :D I just wanna be the best owner to protect the birds whenever possible. The same cat came visit before and I always supervised every minute make sure he doesn't attack, this time just incident. The zebra must came down to eat, when the cat attacked him fast, since mom doesn't know he fly out from cage. I will do my best prevent same incident happening again in the future. The bird make it 24 hours but next day died too :( for your zebra manage survived , did you see any wound at all? Did you use any antibiotics med immediately? I hope no wound at the zebbie and just recover itself :) btw my brother gotta go out of town for business and I gotta take care of the same cat and birds same time now, I must careful whenever let the cat near the birds area. I still got 20some birds here don't wanna see him attack the birds . I use water spray if he attack the birds and I will let him in ONLY when I'm present here! The cat is looking at the birds now but not attaching, so maybe he just wanna wait and only when nobody here he will do that stuff again :( I won't let him get a chance !

I'm so sorry for the loss of your pretty zebra. If you raise babies from the same parents, you should get a good singer. Spraying water at the cat won't stop it from getting birds. The cat should be in a different room from the birds or in a cage. It only takes a second to grab a bird.

Wildbird,
I know what you meant by spraying water doesn't help the cat stop getting the bird. But I really meant by stand next to him and if he is doing something like using his paw or anything other than sitting close to the birds looking at them, I rather protect the birds faster than let the cat doing crazy stuff. I separated the cat when I plan going out and let him stay in the bedroom with food and litter box. Hope this work out, and when we are home by watching him I let him walk in living room and kitchen, but only when have someone look after him, like you said he can attack in second :| i always make sure all door close and locked from all cages, that's important because he can't react fast enough to put his paw into the cage and before that if he ever walk close to the cages I will stop him. Thanks for your advices!
