If you haven't already done it - change the part of the cage where your finch got stuck! And change every similar part, too, in order to prevent it to happen again.
And no, the bird was not sleeping. Birds get rigid when they hang upside down or lay on their back.
Young birds often are very resilient, so, it will probably recover soon. Fingers crossed.
I did, i think he was on a toy and he flew onto the cage and his leg slipped and his toe got stuck ive sinced tighten those bars and placed a toy to stop the from flying onto that specific area and it worked.
Oh ok i actually tough he was dead at first, and yes he has recovered but i still have him in a small cage and today i will transfer him onto a bigger ome just to keep an eye on him. Thanks

Not really because I’ve got scrapers that I scrape all the poop off the sides and down the corners and wipe it down the a wet cloth so it all rubs off then, I have a thick rubber fake grass that runs all the way through my aviary I then pull this out and scrub it down then wash it off, finally I put the clean grass back in.
I always re fill the food and water and treats to the top, completely full to the rim
Bout 45/60 min

Haha, I think its better having my birds in cages that way i can keep an eye on every single one of them if i had them all together maybe i wouldnt notice some things. And also i have 3 other types of birds im not sure if they would all get along. Maybe in the future.

Wow that must take so long to clean your aviairy! I have a natural floor on my finch aviairy (leaves twigs seed (so much the poor quails do have to wade through it in some parts lol) and sand) I don't clean the floor it in my aviairy unless the sand gets wet and gross but I only had to clean yet once as I put wood there instead. I also have a tree growing right from my aviairy floor which the birds love although half the tree has been demolished lol! The birds just love foraging on the ground! Oh and there's buttons scattered all over the ground too from when I had some button toy in there but they broke it lol.

There are also breeding cages attached to the end of my avairy! And then my other aviairy (my parrot aviairy) was one I was given!

Thank you! In my parrot aviairy I have 4 budgies 2 cockatiels and 1 Turk. And in the finch aviairy I have 2 quail 2 canaries 11 zebra finches 1 goldfinch and 1 budgie (she can't fly)
But on Saturday I'm picking up 3 more quail so I'll put 2 in my parrot aviairy and 2 in my finch aviairy. And I'm also getting another turquoisine in 7-9 wks and that will go in my parrot aviairy also!
