Re: HELP! ABNORMAL DROPPINGS!
Really important, are any feeding young? If they are whatever the parents ate will be fed to the young.

Sorry, but I don't find the prank amusing. Cindy and I and several other people just spent quite a bit of time researching and typing posts to try to help you.

Re: HELP! ABNORMAL DROPPINGS!
Dante....not funny. I am exhausted and needed to go to bed but seeing that you had a problem, and that is seemed serious, you posted a picture and I know how much you care for your birds...I stayed up to help, going though my articles, information and trying to find out how to help and what could be wrong...others were also trying to help. Really. I take trying to help someone seriously.
This was not funny....I do believe you could have found something other than this to do as a simple harmless prank.

@Q she went to jail?
@ Cindy. Now I feel really bad. I didn't think it was that bad. I'm really sorry. I should have known you guys would have found it serious. I should have used a different prank.

Re: HELP! ABNORMAL DROPPINGS!
Bloody hell!!!. I got some PMs asking for my urgent help on this one, so i have spent a considerable period of time ringing bird people and 2 avian vets. And if you want to know how difficult that is, it is Saturday afternoon here. Look I am the first one up for a joke but I think you need to work out if the joke it going to cause a lot of stress to people or really cause them an inconvenience. Because it was you Dante, I went to a lot of trouble as I am sure many others did. Thing is, if you ask us advice about a bird that might be sick every one goes into overdrive to help because we have all had sick birds. Sooooo not funny. Now my advice is if you want to pull a prank, make it so ludicrous that it could not be true. For example one of my mates sent me a picture of a canary head morphed onto a huge ducklings body, which I thought briefly was the fattest canary I had ever seen (apart from the old one, Busta I have). The header on his email said "diet ideas for obese canary" I briefly thought it was real until I worked out that the canary would have had to weigh about 2lbs, so it couldn't be real anyway. My point is it was obvious it was a joke and apart from me ringing Jenny Craig for advice no harm was done.

Re: HELP! ABNORMAL DROPPINGS!
Well, I understand everyone being upset about this. We have a pretty tight knit community here and we are all here because we sincerely care about our birds.
I do want to remind everyone that DanteD is I believe 13 years old? Maybe 14? Any how, basically he is still in the immature/maturing stage.
Personally, I don't like it when people prank about health and life. I don't think those are acceptable subject matters to really joke about. However, DanteD has apologized and we should just check this off as a immature prank gone wrong. This is what many young boys and girls do at this age. Dante, please don't do this again. You may want to review/read the story about the boy who called wolf.

God is my redeemer and it is through Him I have found eternal happiness. I am grateful, I am blessed, and I am truly loved. I wish all this and more for all members of our finch forum family. May you all be blessed and highly favored.

Re: HELP! ABNORMAL DROPPINGS!
Having thought about it, I did way worse than that as pranks when I was 14
