Agree completely, please stay on the topic of trying to help Sojourner and Pye.lovezebs wrote: wildbird
We seem to be getting off the topic here, which is Pye having an eye infection and folks on the forum attempting to offer helpful and constructive advice as to how to help Sojourner with this issue.
This is not a thread about euthanasia and whether we approve of it or not.

Definitely hydrogen peroxide, tea bag straight after, and if you can, antibiotics. Are you able to get her some??
Abscesses are always best drained, flushed, and shunted imo. If you leave it in, it will continue to foster bacteria which will do more damage inside. I would gladly do it for you if I could.
I had a baby sparrow that had a bot fly in the eye once that looked like this, and it recovered and lived to be released. Sometimes things look bad, but you never know until you do your best!
