Merlin, was just.... :- :- :- hanging on a side wall of the flight, very nonchalant like.
He wasn't even watching (or so it would appear).

And there is Tiny, a singing and a hopping, and there is Sharra, doing her little dance. Then Sharra bows to Tiny, and WAM -BAM (not even a thank you ma'am). Like a bat out of hell, there he is.... Buah- ha- ha!!!

Sharra, was like:  what the.....
Tiny, was like:  hey !!! :(( :(( :(( X( X( X(

And the the chase is on....

Tiny : :-O :-O :-O I'm gonna kill you!!!

Merlin: L-) L-) L-) Catch me if you can....

Scout: *-:) *-:) *-:) So this is how it's done ? :D

Spirit: X_X X_X X_X

And Sharra: :-\ What just happened ???

Hours later I am still laughing at:

"Merlin: L-) L-) L-) Catch me if you can...." Omg, so funny!

slwatson Awww Stacie thanks. Im still doing research to try and find out what I did wrong so it becomes a learning experience. She was a very healthy Bebop (hence her lively name) from day one that I got her. Something had to go wrong over here. And I've 2 days to the possible hatching day for Bri & Audy's eggs. So finding SOME possible source of the problem seems important.

I've gone through diet, humity, cleanliness, genetic, temperature, injury, pests articles. Im just waiting to stumble across something that says "ohhh yeah! that Must be it!" So I can fix it. ](*,)

All will be well :-). Don't borrow trouble girl.

As to Bebop....... I don't think it's anything you did Babs (so stop laying a guilt trip on yourself).

When these kids go into their first molt, some of them are more vulnerable than others. That's why it's not the greatest idea to get them before they molt into adult colours.

As I've mentioned once before I know I've done it several times myself, but I would not recommend it.

Have you got the nursery ready for the coming infants ?

Babs So sorry to hear about your girl.... Fly free Little Bebop...
I know this has nothing to do with Bebop or why you lost her, but i got my goulds a UV light, which I guess is good for all of them, but really good for the goulds colors. They can get some Mala... something if they dont' get enough UV, and remember MOST window block uv raise... so just a thought.. My little Ren is finishing up his molt, and a few times I Put the UV on the cage he climbed underneath and soaked up the rays!!!! And the funny part is, they don't really give off heat, so they aren't doing it for the heat... they just.... KNOW.... very smart. But anyway, Hope your knew hatchlings came (or are coming) into the world soon... healthy!! Good luck with them.... maybe one of them needed Bebops spirit....

lovezebs slwatson Kelly

Im staring at Bri's and Audy's nursery, while I earlier watched Bebop's empty (now sanitized cage).

Im going to take a bit of my own advice, and treasure the life and stop beating myself up. I winged it and failed.

Bri sat tight 10/14, so I have loads of premade eggfood, swiss chard still growing outside, a fresh cucumber and about a BUBBA SIZED TRUCKLOAD of millet in the freezer. Two more days before hatching date.

Anyday now......everytime I peek in the tiny hole in the back of her nestbox she gives me that one-eyed "whale-eye-look" of "BACK OFF OR I WILL KILL YOU WHILE YOU SLEEP !!!."

Oh I have a feeling she is going to be a good momma.

You read my mind, our windows are fairly new (so they do block out a lot of rays)

All the flight cages have 10,000k Coral-life full spectrum and a 70 watt UVA/UVB (reptile) black light way in the corner in case they get chilled (which it is a little chilly in the morning). I got that tip from lovezebs That was the lamp she was craving in her last moments.

I suppose it was more for comfort. But those saltwater bulbs really bring out the blue in the gouldians :) Ill get a shot when I know I wont spook them.

PS. Thanks for the reincarnation reminder. **wink
