Mr. Meepin - Having Weird Poop. Is he sick?

it only comes as a powder, you mix it with water and beak dose it or if they will take it in grated boiled egg yes... give a very small amount of egg food like 1/8 to 1/4 of a tsp with the meditstatin in to make sure they eat it, once they have eaten that you can give them a bit more egg food without meds in it. Working with a smaller amount of soft foods they like with meds in it is easier to monitor whether they are getting the meds in...if not eating the egg food then you may have to beak dose.

cindy All done, they ate the egg out of my hand (washed hands first obviously lol). That's the only way they seem to eat egg!

One question - the Tri Sulfa has a warning: DO NOT USE WITH ANY OTHER ANTIBIOTICS.

Does that mean that the Ronex has to be given during a separate period? Or can they still be mixed together?

Ronex is not an antibiotic it is an anti-parasitic... you can mix the two together. The lady that sold you the meds recommends this often.

cindy When you said any other extra mix goes in the fridge, do you mean that the tri sulfa goes in the fridge after I open it? Or any other Ronex/Sulfa mixed in water thats left over goes in the fridge?


Tri Sulfa - 1tsp to 1 gallon
Ronex - 1/2 tsp to 1 gallon

Is that good? I don't want to mess up the measurements. I'm going based on whats online.

tri sulfa is Mix 1 teaspoon (5 g) to of 1 gallon

you can make a half a batch 1/2 tsp to 2 quarts.

the trisulfa is mixed in the water and the amount of ronex powder only goes into the tri sulfa water mix.... amount of ronex depends on the amount of trisulfa mix you make.

Terri's site has a different measurement for ronex..1/2 tsp per gallon.

So mix the trisulfa by the gallon if you like then add only the ronex powder (if your container says 1/2 tsp per gallon, use that ). Shake well and serve.

any extra of the mix of the two meds in the gallon goes in the fridge ... do not put the powdered meds in the fridge.

It's the end of day 1 (started last night) and I have noticed some improvements!

Mr. Meepin's poop is less yellow, still big, but the strong yellow tinge is going down a little. The white portion isn't as prominent either. He wasn't as aggressive (screaming) as usual, hopefully that lasts

Both Mr. Meepin and Ms. Coopin have adjusted to the new water tube and are drinking out of just that!

They are getting the Tri Sulfa/Ronex mix in the water and a daily dose of Medistatin thru the boiled egg that I handfeed them. They were fighting over the egg today! If I gave egg to one, the other would beak them and scream! It was so cute!!
