Welcome to the forum
By giving them eggfood you are already helping them

Hmm, good question. I have always given my birds their eggfood everyday, as well as soaked or chitted seeds.
As for the feathers, you should notice a diminished amount around the cage.

I think zebras molt CONSTANTLY. I always seem to have small feathers on the floor outside the cages.
Zebras don't have a molt like gouldians where you can see where the feathers have fallen off and the new ones coming in.

Ah,i was wondering about that,so as long as i dont see any baldness from my finches their ok?
I bought a netting for the bottom of their cages and that seems to keep the feathers under control..they seem to be more problem-matic when cleaning the cages, havent found a solution for that except my Bissell Lol

The problem w feathers is they are so light that they will float over whatever netting you use, unless you completely cover the cage.
