I think my nun may have a fractured beak. This is the first I noticed it this morning. There looks to be a hairline fracture going across the top portion of the beak. He hasn't had any trouble eating and doesn't look distressed at all. Should I just up the calcium? Is there anything else that should be done?

Are you sure it isn't just the epidermis or outtermost layer which may be growing out (as opposed to the bone below being fractured)?

Improved nutrition may help return the beak to its normal appearance. Your bird may need more vitamin A in its diet, though you should only use natural food sources as a supplement since it is very easy to overdose vitamin A. Feed boiled egg crushed shell and all and add some small pieces of carrot, parsley, or spinach to the mix.

It could be just the top layer...i didn't want to poke and prod too much if that made it worse. I'll make more egg food and see if that helps it clear up.
