Zebra finch, Picking at her vent? No blood ^^

Hey there I was noticing that my mother's little white Zebra finch is picking at her vent. I clean up her vent regularly (with a wet paper towel, with no soap at all) and getting her to have a bath is really really annoying, she has 2 influences that love to bath but... she never does so we mist her.

She's approximately about 9 months old, and hasn't laid an egg yet, (so we're a bit worried about that, but give her calcium plus in hopes that she eventually passes)
She seems healthy enough, cause one of the societies with her tried to jump her and I am sure he never penetrated.

and the good thing is her poop is a wee bit runny (usually after eating her veggies), but generally is normal, and there is No blood in her feces.
So I was wondering if this is an indication that she is going to lay eggs soon? I hope [-o<

I have to say I have not heard of a finch who does not like a bath! The bird does sound like she may be having trouble passing her droppings due to a possible egg in the way. Heat, humidity and calcium are in order. They can die quickly from being egg bound. Good Luck!

questions...what type of veggies are you giving her? lettuce or romaine?

Is the poop a massive poo each time and soft?

Is she heavier than usual in the area around the vent under the tail?

her poop is normal like all the other birds. I don't think that she's egg bound because she's healthy, but I can increase the temperature, and there's good humidity.

she's not pooping massively, cause I have 2 hens that lay eggs and o-o' wow they poop!!!!

we give her carrots and green bell peppers, fruits like apples oranges pears, and egg food, oatmeal, and some other things that's good for them.

Calcium to the max with oyster shells and calcium plus, so Egg binding doesn't make too much sense o-O

The fruit has a bit of extra water to it and that can explain the looser stools after eating veggies and fruit. Even healthy birds can become eggbound, some birds actually form adhesions that prevent the egg from passing at all. She is young though and since she has never laid an egg before this is probably not the case.

Does she pick at her bottom possibly after she has been mated?

actually no, I don't think so.

she started long before he jumped on her. I don't think it's exactly on her vent but around it, It maybe that she's preening the area too.
