I have only had my two zebra finches for a short time, and they are my first birds, so forgive me if I'm coming across as naive.
Anyway, two days ago, I had to do a thorough cleaning of their cage, so I attempted to remove them to place them in a smaller transport cage. This was no easy task and ended up being pretty traumatic for the birds. They were flying around pretty frantically and banging into the sides of the cage a bit as they were trying to flee.
I was only able to catch one of them, and after returning him to the cleaned cage, I noticed that his left wing wasn't getting "tucked" into its usual place. It seems to be elevated above the right wing slightly and doesn't hang as much to the side as it usually would.
He is able fly with ease and doesn't appear to be in any discernible pain. He doesn't seem to fuss over the "bent" wing any more than the other, either. And at times, it does appear to tuck into the proper orientation, too.
Is his wing injured? Is there anything I can do for him?
Dislocated wing?! Bent feathers?

If he is still flying around as usual, I would just leave it. He probably just got his feathers ruffled.

I don't know if its physically possible for a bird to dislocate its wing. But even if it is, I doubt its dislocated or broken. I personally have knee caps that dislocate and when it happens, I cannot walk until the knee is put back in place, I would have a hard time believing that a finch would be able to fly in such a state.

That's good to hear
I know very little in the way of avian anatomy, haha. I'm hoping his feathers will go back into their normal position over time. Or when he goes through a molt
