Now that colder weather is coming to Wisconsin; I wonder when I should turn on my furnace. This morning my house temp is 63 degrees; is that too cold for my finches? thanks for any response.

My gouldians do well as low as 55F but they have been acclimated to that temperature.

I have my thermostat set to drop down to 55 at night and when no one is home.

I've always read (including on the Finch Information Center) that waxbills shouldn't be kept lower than 65, so it is a little cool for your CBs. But I guess if it's not constantly 63 but just for short while in the morning they should be fine...
