gouldian inbreeding?

they had a clutch of 6 placed 2 under societies and left the rest under parents and all hatched. After 3 days found 2 chicks dead probably from not being fed so i took the other 2 and placed them under societies aswell, so now societies have 4 with 2 of them being bigger since they were first hatched. 5 days later found another 1 dead, so till now they have the 2 'big' ones and 1 small and i noticed he had the crop bit red the next day found him dead too and i read that its because of an infection in his crop. Anyway now the big 2 fledged and both are out of nest but i'm worried because one of them is so weak he sleeps all the time and lacks food begging. Also noticed that he has already the upper tip of the beak a bit overgrown.

I bought the parents both from same breeder they are closed ring both with orange color (don't know which year), both red heads and purple breast.

That can happen when the birds are not closed banded with dated/coloured bands. It's impossible for us to tell you whether the parents are related or not. It would be up to the breeder to keep good records - if they keep any at all.

Sorry for your losses on this clutch. Perhaps you can find new mates for both Gouldians...?

The other problem "could be" C&C disease that some societies are carriers of.

Campylobacter and Cochlosoma / C & C disease of gouldians when fostered by societies

Campylobacter
10-14 days old
Usually causes dead Gouldian nestlings around 10-14 days of age or so.

Cochlosoma usually results in Gouldians that die
• shortly before or after fledgling or
• just simply fail to thrive and die before weaning.

I agree with Gary, there are so many things it could be other then inbreeding. If they are new birds maybe they had some illness that was left undetected.
I hope you can figure out what's going on as soon as possible.
Best of luck

their closed rings has numbers on them, if i tell you the numbers you would be able to tell me if they are related or not?

I don't think its C&C cos the last chick is perfectly normal, usually c&c kills all chicks

The band # will not tell you if they are related. All the band number will do is ID the bird for the breeder, and possibly ID the breeder.
Example, I could have 2 clutches of chicks. Band #10,11&12 could be one clutch #13,14&15 could be another clutch. Bands 11&12 are siblings Band #12&13 are separate clutches and not related.
