Heat lamp for ailing finch.

Hi. One of my female zebras seems to be a ill. She mostly sits at the bottom of the cage fluffed near the heat from a lamp. It's not a heat lamp, just a regular bulb. She'll move around a bit but then goes back to the bottom near the heat.
She has been housed with her mate since I got them. I don't know how old she is but I got them roughly three years ago from a pet shop and had no idea at the time how old they were.
I don't want to keep the light on all night because I'm afraid they won't get enough sleep. Any suggestions how to keep her warm overnight and make her more comfortable?

Go out and buy a mini red spot light. It should fit the lamp and aim it at the bird so she can get real close to it if she wants more heat and can move away when she doesn't. It will not keep them awake.

Good luck and please keep us posted. [-o< [-o<

Thanks so much. I never thought of that.I just happen to have a red light bulb. I'll try that. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
