Heat is Awesome.....
Here is Felix in the hospital cage. This morning he was feeling down and fluffy looking ....with his eyes half closed refused to fly or engage with other birds. I gave hime some heat and Six hours later he is back to his normal self.....full of energy...Check his eyes. While a healthy finch holds his eyes open, a sick finch may keep his eyes half closed, even when he's interacting with others, or eating and drinking. You may also notice a discharge coming from his eyes.Felix is going to be on Tetracycline for five days....

Glad he is feeling better
And yes, Heat is a wonderful thing and should always be the first step for comforting an under the weather bird. Good job, I am sure Felix appreciates your care

That's great! And I see you are prepared with a hospital cage.
I wonder if birds living in tropical regions simply don't get sick as much? My GS probably prefers his Africa climate. I wonder if it's 95 degrees and the bird gets sick, do you still use heat?
