Damaged wing, possibly broken

Post by tobyneilson » Mon Oct 10, 2011 11:53 am

Ok yesterday I moved my zebs into a larger flight cage but I have just noticed today that one of my little girls was struggling to fly, she seems to "hold" one wing, she has stretched it but seems to favour/hold it and not use it,she can hop around and get up onto the higher perches for food etc
I have added some lower perches and food/drink at bottom of cage for her
Just womdering if there anything else I can do?
I dont want to seperate her as she is hoping around fine and as they are social birds I hate seperating them and putting one on its own
To many pets to list :)

Find a Vet that treats birds. If something is broken they can diagnose and treat it. You'll probably have to call around.

Otherwise leave the bird alone and let it heal on it's own. It may fully recover on it's own, just really hard to say, a vet can make sure it heals correctly.
