Currently, I have two society finches who live in a very large "cage" (dont know if aviary would be a better description of it). I am very happy with their company and they seem really happy with their new home. I've had my finches for about two weeks now - but i am thinking about getting another pair of society finches in the future.
So here is my question:
In Sweden, where i live, it is really hard to get medicines for birds... there are no suppliers, which there seem to be in the US. I've learned that it is a wise choice to keep new birds in quarantine before introducing them to the rest of the flock. I also know that many people give their quarantined birds preventive meds for diseases they could be carrying - so i was wondering if there is some kind of NATURAL cure for parasites for example ?
The only thing I've found here in sweden is some kind of mite spray for birds and other small pets, so before taking the leap to buying medications for birds online, it would be helpful to know if there is another way. I was thinking that some of you give your birds a bit of ACV in the drinking water - does it have any effect on parasites/bacteria ?
woah, what a wall of text i ended up writing. I appreciate all your advice
