Quick question about S76!

Hey!
Today i started treating my birds with S76 (2 quarantined societies, they are new). I've understood that the s76 is only active in the water for 8 hours - and i was wondering if i could give my birds normal water when 8 hours have passed, before giving them more s76 in the water tomorrow ?
I am worried that they avoid drinking since the water must taste a bit icky with the medicine in it ...
What do you think ?

I remove the water just before lights out the night before.
Then first thing in the morning I mix a tube of S76 + water (3 drops : 63ml of water).
I leave it for the whole day, which is about 12 hours.
Then just before lights out, I repeat the process for the next day.

That's what Im doing at the moment

As i understood, the treatment with s76 is meant to be given for 2 consecutive days, for three weeks. When you treat your birds - do you give probiotics inbetween the s76 treatments or do you give probiotics after 3 weeks, when the whole treatment is done ?

I have not given them probiotics, and so far, no problems.
I give a series of meds during quarantine, so probiotics after each treatment becomes difficult to schedule in.

Do they drink the water with the S76 in it? I am treating mine today on their monthly regimine and by the end of the day the water is nearly all gone.

Paradise Aviary: that sounds like an interesting theory

but i feel more comfortable with giving them probiotics after each treatment, im always so afraid of doing something wrong
managermania: Yes, they drink the water

as usual i think... i've seen them drink several times today, and the quarantined societies even took a bath in the water
