Green Singer w/Bad Foot

I have been watching my GS Hen for a few days and she has been sitting on her perch most of the day. I put a heat lamp over her and she seems to be ok she goes down to the bottom to eat flies into the nest etc. but always comes back to that same spot on her perch.
After spending some time watching her I noticed she is having trouble using her left foot. I took her out to check out her claws and trimmed her claws but found that the back claw that grips is going under her foot and the nail is sticking up in the air. She is unable to grip the perch. It most likely is broken and how it happened is a mystery to me. She would always fly up to the top of the cage and throw her head back.
Is there anything that can be done for her?

Can you take a picture of the foot? Most finches respond and adjust well with minor leg/toe injuries. I have a GS hen with a bum toe and she does just fine.

I'll try and take a pic it may take some time. That is what's wrong with mine the back toe is going forward and upside down. Claw is facing upward.

Sad news this morning finding Luna (GS Hen) dead on the cage floor. I don't know if that foot injury had anything to do with her dying. She moved about the cage to eat etc. and I had a heat lamp on her favorite perch but had no idea she would die so suddenly. The GS male Nova has been singing his little heart out since I removed her from the cage...

Sorry for the lost.

It must be difficult not knowing why she died, and how quickly she died without showing hardly any symptoms,

Could she have possibly injured herself, hitting something in the cage. Mine are very high strung and the female gets very upset and is all over the cage even if I water them through the seed door.

So sorry to hear the hen died. I did not expect that from an injured leg. Maybe she was having problems that were not evident, but either way, so sorry she is gone. RIP
