Society Turrets... a wierd dance?

Well, my male society now bobs his head like he did, and jumps around on the perch. Say he is facing me, while bobbing to one side he twirls around and looks in the other direction. He always bobs to the right, and never loses balance. He does it after singing sometimes and now that he's in a bigger cage with more hens he does it more? Whst is going on!?

Could he be courting or singing to all the hens? They are pretty animated when courting. He he otherwise healthy?

He's healthy, he just does the strangest dances ever! I thought he was sick, but I now see the other males trying to copy him

it could be regular wooing for the girls, or it could be star gazing. does he fling his head in the air? i highly doubt it, but i am sure it is just wooing

a dance, to show off for the ladies!

Mine does something similar to this. He puffs up, hops to the right & then to the left and turns around on the perch and does it again. Sometimes he sings while doing it and other times he doesn't. I just assumed it was a mating dance. It's cute to watch.
I haven't noticed any head bobbing though - I'll watch closer.
Maybe he's looking over his shoulder to see if any of the hens are interested instead of turning around and doing the dance again like mine does?

Maybe your males could get a chorus line mating dance going!

Thanks Sharona. Glad he is not the only one. And hm, if the other male pick it up fast enough i'd have a quartet!
