Finishing S76 tomorrow...

Tomorrow is the last dose of the 3 wk treatment of S76.
I want to do the Amox after this, since I think there is something else going on.

Can I do this treatment the day after S76? On Thursday?

I believe in one of your previous posts there was an outline from ladygouldian's site I believe it was alright to give amoxitex right after the last dose of s76, you just could not mix the two.

I assume this is following the first treatment before the second treatment based on how this is written.
it might be best to consult ladygouldian.com to get specific directions on the use of the amoxitex after/during the treatment time for the s76.

page 3...hope this helps. When you call here as about the length of treatment with the amoitex since it reads differently on the container as to length of time it is to be given. Two days seems rather short if there is an infection also. If he is does not have the symptoms of a respiratory infection she may say not to give it to him.

Thank you so much Cindy for finding this info for me.

So I can do the Amox, to help with secondary infections after S76.

Thing is I will most likely need Ronivet % Cocci.

She STILL is making a clicking sound. I only hear it when its bed time. She doesnt click when she BREATHES, its more clicking her tounge inside her beak when she sits on the perch to go to sleep.

Its just frustrating me so much, because theres so many different medications out there to treat things that are SIMILAR or RESEMBLE "x"
Ive already spent the time/money getting all these meds, and NOW have to get more because I probably dont have the right ones to treat 'x"

And to top it all off the other female YH gouldian I have is fluffed up and closes her eyes on and off through out the day

I hate this so much...

Secondary Respiratory Infections
If an air-sac mite infestation is the only thing causing your birds respiratory symptoms, you should see the symptoms subside in 2 days with the in water S76 treatment and during the 5 day topical treatment. If the symptoms lessen, but do not completely go away, your bird also has a secondary respiratory infection that will need additional treatment. DO NOT JUST AUTOMATICALLY TREAT WITH AN ANTIBIOTIC AFTER THE FIRST 2 DAY TREATMENT OF S76 IF ALL SYMPTOMS HAVE DISAPPEARED. Additional medication treatments are not necessary if all respiratory symptoms subside after the first 2 day S76 treatment.

Debbie, Ive almost finished the 3 wk treatment of S76...so the first 2 day thing is waaay past. Tmrw is the finaly day of S76....I havent giveb any other meds other than this S76 treatment

As I put above theres still the clicking with her tounge inside her beak when she goes to bed...like she clickes her tounge up and down then goes to sleep.

Also my other female YH gould is fluffed up and closes eyes on and off through out the day...there IS something else going on. I just dont knwo what to treat.

I DONT have Ronivet or Coccicare....I have Amox, Thrive, Vitalize, S76, Inverlux, Feather Fast...thats all I have so far :/

As I suggested it would be best to call Laraine...first before dosing her with anything else or giving her the amoxitex. I would not blindly treat her at this point but consult ladygouldian.

Please call her and keep us posted. It sounds like something is moving through your flock and it would be best to get advise from her or a vet as to what it is and how to treat it.

Gee thanks for pointing that out....but if you do look at what I write I am suggesting that she call either Laraine or she can call Joanne or a vet...right now the right course of action is to seek help. That is what we are here to do, help.

The new site Laraine has is lacking in some information, the older sites include articles and help.

Personally I would call, that way she can ask you specific questions, it is better than going back and forth through email...I am glad you are seeking help because this does not sound isolated since a second bird is symptomatic.
