Spitting up water

I was Scatting my birds today, just part of quarantine for my new birds. I have a pearl society male that was doing something rather peculiar. I caught him and he was spitting up water. I don't know if he had just drank water or was vomitting or if it was something worse. I haven't noticed him wheezing or breathing heavily since and he seems perfectly ok now. But I was wondering if it was something to worry about.

I've never seen or heard of a finch spitting up water.

Keep an eye on him for a while, for sure.

I would do like Liz mentioned but also add a heat lamp just in case there is something underlying and he may need to warm up a bit.

Just wanna update, he is doing fine and hasn't done it again. I am thinking he must have just got a drink and all the flying during the chase made him spit it up or not swallow properly. Thank you all for the advice though :) I thought I was going to lose my little pearl
