Enlarged lower abdomen - Gouldian

I have one Gouldian who exhibited the normal "sick" behavior of being slower than normal, not singing and sleeping during the day.
I brought him inside the house to the sick bay from the aviary and put him on 12% Ronivet-S for a week. He has improved greatly in appearance, but still not singing and still the slightly larger than normal lower abdomen.
After a few days of clean water, I put him on Amoxitex. It's only been a few days, and he's not sleeping in the food bowl any more, but he's not super active and singing yet either.
I do have to move his lower belly feathers to see the abdomen, not huge by any means. Heatlamp 24x7 and humidity added of course.
Any other ideas?

Have you dewormed him? Do you see anything off in his droppings?
Also and I hope this is not the case but birds can have growths like tumors internally. Does his abdomen feel soft or hard/distended?

Can you get a picture of the lower abdomen?
Is what you're seeing yellow or orange in appearance? If so, that is probably fat. That part of the body is not an uncommon place for them to get fat deposits if they're on a rich diet.
So if he's feeling sick and he's a bit over weight he could be suffering from fatty liver disease.

Also if you can get a picture of the droppings it may help as well. Tiffany may be correct, he may be on the plump side due to a rich diet!!!

That seems pretty severe to be worms, to me it looks almost like a hernia or internal rupture of sorts.

The poor thing, it may need medical attention if possible to help. Is there anything that can be done for either of those?

Or a tumor, cancerous or noncancerous. Benign cysts usally grow fast. It could be putting extreme pressure on other organs that could cause extreme distress. If you have an avian vet it may be well worth taking the finch in.
Also could be a blockage/constipation. If feeding shell, grits, shell could result in this. Post I had with gouldian constipation..I saved this bird but I caught it early. The belly was descended with extreme bloating. Post of my experience, may help:
