New Black Cheeked Zebra!!

New to the family...Zorro. I just picked him up from a pet store yesterday and have him away from the rest of the flock for obvious reasons; watching for health issues, disposition, the fledglings.
Anyway, I have a healthy, non bug infested, zebra pair and 2 fledglings in my larger cage. They don't have any weird ticks or other things that would make me think there were issues. However, the new boy is rubbing his beak on the perch, kind of scratching himself, so I believe that I've got something going on with him. Probably mites.
How do you treat that?

Gloria, do not want to sound rude, but using photos that belong to others, is not something most finch keepers like. I know you meant know harm (this usually applies to people trying to sell birds while using other's photos) so no worries. I would love to see an actual picture of him!

they sell mite and lice spray at petsmart

I removed the photo for you since you wouldn't be able to edit your post by this time - no problem.
As said above - we'd love to see your own Zebras much more!

Here is the boy....I only have one camera now and it has so many pxls that are not "friendly" with this forum. So sorry if I offended anyone with a visual of a black faced zebra.
Now if you please, is there any home remedies that might be useful on cleaning up mites on birds? I know that plants can be washed with a mild soap product to get rid of some of the small parasites and that's what I'm thinking for Zorro.
You can be rude, fun, ugly, helpful and I will take it all in. I'm new and want input.
Thanks
Gloria

I can't see anything in the photo, and as Dante said, often finches will rub their beaks on the perch, even to excess sometimes, but they really don't have a problem. If you like, you can get a mite spray at a pet shop, most of them will carry it, follow the directions, and see what happens.
And we try not to be rude on here, but sometimes things are taken the wrong way.

It is not that you offended anybody, but it is illegal to use those photos without permission.
And I know of no home remedies. Sorry. He is pretty btw!

He looks very good to me too. As Sally said there are mite sprays available at most pet shops. If you don't have one locally then it can be ordered online and shipped to you.
