Question about zebra beak

Well this little guy earned his name today, Houdini, when I got home from work and he was hanging out on top of one of my cages. I noticed that the top half of his beak is noticeably shorter than the bottom, looks like it may have been clipped or broken off somehow? Just wondering if I should even them up or just leave him be, it doesn't seem to hinder him at all.

I would leave it, it should repair itself in time.

I would leave it for now.has he been eating? It almost looks like overgrowth rather than chipping,as long as he eats fine, leave it.if it gets longer, take him to a vet to be diagnosed.i know thse things
Iodine deficiancy, and injury can cause it

It hasn't effected him at all, eating and going about his business as usual. I just don't want him stabbing his mate with that thing when he preens her.

I would watch him to make sure he can eat....it looks like he may have run into something and broke the top tip off, if he is having difficulty you may need to adjust the lower beak but this is risky. I would not fuss with it to much, if this was due to an injury he may have some discomfort.
