Endo-Mectin

I bought a 1cc of Endo-Mectin is this good for Zebra Finch? How much is the dose? I know is have to be mix with water. Thanks for your helps.

I'm not familiar with that product. It sounds like it is an ivermectin product, which many people use for air sac mites. But if this is not formulated for birds, with directions on how much to use for a finch, I could not guess how you would use it. I prefer to use products that are specifically for birds, as if you guess at the dosage, you could do more harm than good.

OK, I did a search for this product, and it is for parasites in cattle and swine. Since it is formulated for larger animals, I don't have any clue as to how you would know how much to give to a finch, even diluted in water. I always start with heat from a heat lamp and then watch for more symptoms.

endo-mectin is Ivermectin 1% Sterile Solution

Also found a similar product on a pigeon site:

It says: Contains Ivermectin 0.3% in a special exacting formulation.

I think you need to be sure the strength before you try to use it.
