Stuffy Nose

At the Grapevine bird fair my mom had me get her another canary. She wanted a red factor female, so that's what we brought home. The canary seemed fine until the day after I got back home, so I'd had her for about two days. She started doing a sneezing/coughing type thing. When I listened to her breathing it sounded like she was wheezing. Based on the advice from the breeder and a staff member at Adventure's In Birds I put her on Ornacyn-Plus. She never stopped eating and would still move about her cage, but has gotten more perky since I added the antibiotic to her water 2 days ago. I think she might even be sneezing less.
Now the matter I'm concerned with happened today. My 8 week old Bourke baby had a stuffy nostril earlier in the evening and had a stuffy nose later in the evening. I cleaned her nose with a bit of tissue each time and she seemed to eat and breathe better after. Should I take her to the vet or try antibiotics first in case she caught what the canary has? She's still an active and happy baby, and I'd like to keep it this way.
Any advice is welcome.
